Equalisation is a limiting factor for almost all freedivers at some point in their journey, so therefore, we should be spending a great deal of time training this. Dry training for equalisation is absolutely critical, if you can’t perform the skills calmly and correctly on land you have no hope of performing them deep under water with the added stresses that come along with that. Unfortunately for us most new instructors are equipped with very little theoretical knowledge around equalisation, this is a fault of our education systems.
